Project Manager

We are now looking for a motivated and self-driven Project Manager to be responsible for the implementing of projects in accordance with our delivery process. In this position, you will act as a member of the project team and be responsible for your own customer projects from order to delivery and commissioning. Your projects are demanding, and often extensive entities and the customers are international grid and marine integrators. In your work, you get to have an impact on the operations of the entire order supply chain, create different development ideas and take them independently all the way to implementation.

You already have experience in demanding customer projects. You will take projects forward independently and in accordance with the customer promise. You will not hesitate to challenge the organization and demand results.

An open, self-directed and proactive way of working are the cornerstones of your job description. The position is very versatile and includes opportunities to develop oneself and one’s skills. In this position, you will report to Operations Manager Panu Kytölä.

Main responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that works under your assigned responsibility area are executed according to contract requirements, specifications, instructions and company policies
  • Managing project activities according to contract requirements together with external vendors and internal team members
  • Planning the projects with total costs, schedule, and customer needs in focus
  • Review the technical documents to be in accordance with project specifications
  • Project schedule preparation and follow up
  • Good interaction skills, readiness for independent work and continuous development of own competence
  • Working together with internal functions (engineering, sales, production & logistics) aiming to achieve common goals
  • Making risk assessments related to projects
  • Identifying urgent issues and organizing prioritization meetings

You will also be responsible for: 

  • Practical arrangements for FAT testing
  • Customer support during and after the project
  • Project commissioning supervision
  • Organizing customer training
  • Project-related documentation and HSEQ, together with internal support functions
  • Part list preparation and supervision on delivery
  • Preparing monthly reports & project progress reports
  • Attending tests and site supervision and commissioning

What we expect from you:

  • Sc. or M.Sc. in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Automation)
  • Recent experience with industry projects
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing and conducting industrial project
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Good attitude and development-oriented approach
  • Experience with ERP system (we use Oscar)
  • Working with MS Office software
  • Open and positive mind
  • Negotiation and presentation skills to manage project meetings with different stakeholders
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills, also under pressure
  • Willingness to travel as needed according to projects

In addition, we will consider it an advantage:

  • Knowledge of electrical design standards
  • Work experience in the process industry, marine industry or electronics industry
  • An understanding practical flow engineering
  • Understanding PLC-systems (Siemens)

The person we are looking for has suitable technical skills and enthusiasm for the continuous development of his own skills. We operate in an international environment, so reasonable English language skills would also be desirable.
