Back Office Sales Engineer, Marine

We are seeking a motivated and self-driven Back Office Sales Engineer to support Sales Managers in sales projects and key account management in accordance with our sales process. As a key member of the marine team, you will take care of technical clarifications, cost calculations and offer preparations, ensuring profitable business and customer satisfaction.

In this role, you will be working on projects for international marine system integrators, power electronics OEMs, and shipyards. Your contributions will significantly impact the entire order supply chain.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support sales managers in all sales process phases
  • Provide technical clarifications, cost calculations and sales offers to Sales Managers
  • Handle customers purchase orders
  • Supplier co-operation; RFQ´s & technical clarifications
  • Support project managers in certain deliveries
  • Co-operation with internal and external stakeholders
  • Participating relevant trade shows and customer events
  • Organize customer events together with Sales managers and marketing
  • Visit customers together with Sales Managers when necessary
  • Ensure organization has full understanding of sales contract and scope of supply
  • Class Societies co-operation

What We Expect from You

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Engineering
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in technical sales.
  • Fluent communication skills in both Finnish and English. German, Spanish and French are considered as an advantage.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple sales cases effectively.
  • Positive and development-oriented approach to drive continuous improvement.
  • Experience with CRM & ERP systems to manage project data and processes.
  • Proficiency in MS Office for documentation and communication.
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills to engage with stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills to address project challenges
  • Willingness to travel max. 20 days annually
  • Work experience in the marine industry or power electronics industry.
