Offshore wind farms play a vital role in future energy production. Their construction requires special vessels equipped to handle the challenging marine environment and perform transport, installation, and maintenance of large wind turbines.

Adwatec has vast experience in providing cooling solutions for vessels used in the construction and maintenance of offshore wind farms. We cool the power electronics of these vessels to ensure their reliable operation in harsh sea conditions.

Our cooling systems support a range of vessels involved in offshore wind farm construction, including for example service operation vessels, wind turbine installation vessels, and remote-controlled vessels for seabed mapping.

When designing and installing cooling systems for these vessels, we carefully consider the specific space requirements and environmental conditions of each application.

Typical Adwatec water cooling stations used in marine applications: Classic (CCE) , Slim (CCS) and ACE

Adwatec’s water cooling stations are designed to provide efficient and reliable cooling meeting the special marine requirements.

  • Classic (CCE) models are versatile units compact size with plenty of options to meet varying operational requirements. Flow rates up to 750l/min
  • Slim (CCS) is an extra narrow model designed for 400mm wide cabinet installations, offering high flow rate (up to 430l/min) and cooling power in confined spaces.
  • ACE models are specifically designed for harsh environments, like deck installations featuring an integrated plate heat exchanger for sea water and stainless-steel frame, all within a 400mm narrow frame. Flow rates up to 450l/min.

Adwatec cooling solutions are used in approximately thirty different vessels operating in offshore wind farm construction and maintenance in Europe and Asia.
